The Scavenger Gods
Born of the Black Hole in the north, the Fleet are thankfully few in number, with no more than six or seven alive at any one time. These creatures are vast, dwarfing the Sand Worms of the northern steppes, the great turtles of the western peninsulas, and even the Leviathan itself. The Fleet look like gigantic bats or wrays, tens of miles in length, with wingspans reaching as large as a hundred miles or more, and weighing many thousands of tons.
These barely corporeal creatures fly through the skies, either drifting borne by the wind, or propelled at speeds many times greater than sound. They give shade to the ground, protecting from the harsh rays of the sun, and feed on salt, making them primarily responsible for desalinating the air after the great Salt Rains of the 2nd age.
